Congratulations to the MHS Varsity Academic Team. They won district Governor's Cup for the 4th year in a row! They won 1st place in Quick Recall and Future Problem Solving. In the Mathematics test, Siara Minton won 1st place and Matthew Saylor won 4th place. In Science, Bishakha Kumari won 2nd, Siara Minton won 3rd, and Timothy Perkins won 4th place. In Social Studies, Andrew Kelley won 1st place, Tyler Brush won 2nd, and Timothy Perkins was 3rd. In Language Arts, Tyler Brush placed 1st, Makayla Hensley placed 2nd, and Victoria Ferguson was 3rd. In Arts/Humanities, Robby Griffey placed 1st, Dylan Slaven was 2nd, and Drew Ramsey was 3rd. In Composition, Hannah Warren placed 2nd and Sydney Lay placed 4th. The team won 1st place overall with 73.5 points!
