Middlesboro Middle School is also a GEAR UP Kentucky school.  GEAR UP Kentucky is a six year grant program funded by the federal government.  It provides services to students such as academic advising, life skills training, summer enrichment programs, career exploration, college tours, and help understanding the process of applying for college and financial aid.
