Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to the Middlesboro Middle School.  My name is Bill Jones and I am honored to be your principal.  I am excited to begin a new school year where the possibilities of success are unlimited.  The number one goal of the entire staff of Middlesboro Middle School is to provide every student a safe, friendly environment where every child can learn and be successful.  The district vision, “Where Everyone Matters”, is a vision which focuses the commitment of our school community on the success of each child. Our faculty strives to instill in our students a love of learning while providing the knowledge, resources and tools they will need to be successful.

Our students come from many different backgrounds; both culturally and financially.  All students can learn and our goal is to encourage each student to do their very best.  Parents are strongly encouraged to be an active partner in their child’s education.  There are many ways that you can be involved, whether it is as a volunteer at the school or supporting your child in their everyday life.  The Middle School years are a time in a child’s life when change is going to happen.  It can be difficult for them to understand just where they fit in or who they are during this time.  It can also be difficult for you as well to understand what your child is going through.  I hope we can embrace the change that the Middle School years bring and work together, in partnership, to help your child have a good experience at the Middle School.

Sincerely,

William E. (Bill) Jones
