Superintendent

Welcome to the Middlesboro Independent Schools where “Everyone Matters”. I am honored to serve as Superintendent of this school district.

The district consists of Middlesboro Elementary School (pre-K – 4th grade), Middlesboro Middle School (5th grade – 8th grade), Middlesboro High School (9th grade – 12thgrade), and Middlesboro Alternative School(5th grade – 12th grade). The high school students also have access to the Bell County Career and Technical Center and Southeast Community and Technical College. The district is proud to provide the opportunities of a large school district, while maintaining the small school environment where every student is known and is an important part of the school family.

The mission of Middlesboro Independent Schools is to promote “a relentless dedication to motivate and inspire student success." Middlesboro Independent is here to:

-provide a rich curriculum with access to standards based, visual and performing arts; health and physical education; science; social studies; career technical education; cultural studies and world languages; essential skills; extracurricular activities; athletic opportunities and

-equitable access to intervention services; gifted and talented services; rigorous coursework.*

Middlesboro Independent Schools are fortunate to have school-based counselors, mental health service providers, on-site nurses, librarian/media specialists; family resource/youth service centers; a variety of support staff and highly qualified educators.

Middlesboro Independent is here to serve our community and prepare our students to be productive members of society. I believe that our students can achieve anything they want.
